主要從事區域海氣相互作用的觀(guān)測及數值模擬研究。研究成果主要揭示了南海北部以及日本瀨戶(hù)內海近岸海洋鋒面時(shí)空分布的季節變化特征及其對海表風(fēng)場(chǎng)和沿岸降雨日循環(huán)的影響機制。近年來(lái)主持國家自然科學(xué)基金青年基金和面上基金各1項,參與國家973計劃子課題、中國科學(xué)院戰略先導專(zhuān)項及其他科研課題多項。作為參與人員獲2015年度海洋工程科技獎(二等獎)以及2016年廣州市科學(xué)技術(shù)進(jìn)步獎(一等獎)。
